Back Country Ski Passes can be obtained from the Ski Patrol at the top of Chair 2.

The Pro Ski Patrol at Alpental has a huge responsibility keeping us "the users" of the area safe. Please respect the closures of the Backcountry when it is CLOSED. Many people have lost their pass privileges due to cutting rope lines. They are always closed for the reason of safety. You never will know if the Ski Patrol is doing Avalanche work out of bounds and it would be a great shame to come barreling down on them in a flurry of powder or slush and completely bury them in an unforeseen avalanche of snow. Besides being stupid you could be held completely liable in this day and age of Lawyers and Lawsuits.
